The Election

Election is about to come, but here's a thing that's been running on my mind every time I see and hear the news on TV: What's exactly the objective of signing up yourself in an election? What will you really do as you get elected?

Cause as far as I concern, it takes a lot of money for a campaign. Even one man can spend million rupiahs just to get a vote. So at the end, they can claim themselves as the heart of the citizen, the representatives for anyone of us. But since they're the one who have the money, let them just do it! Let them singing and dancing like they are rockstars on stage, yelling their speech like everyone can remember, making a typical advertisement on TV like everyone's watching.

But, if they're wise enough, they can actually do so many great things with that money, such as build an emergency school for the unfortunate, give scholarship to as many students as they could, re-build houses for the unfortunate. Have them thought about this, taking real action and movement with that money?
